Learn how to ask more intelligent questions for starters. We have no idea what your system looks like to give you any suggestions on what you can do. We don't even have any idea what you mean when you say "stucked (sic) up at the first boot". That could mean many things. Lest you waste any more mailing list traffic with more vague requests for help, please let us know the following things: 1. What is your *complete* system configuration? In particular, what kind of processor, motherboard make, and HDD controller type (IDE, SCSI, SATA, FibreChannel, etc.) you are using and on which interface it happens to be connected. 2. Also mention what exactly happened. Do you only see some figment of the GRUB prompt while booting? Does part of the kernel begin booting and freeze? Also remember that you MUST disable the 'PnP OS' setting or equivalent in your BIOS. No version of Linux I've ever used had no problems starting with that setting in the BIOS enabled. -- dido In the 1980's capitalism defeated communism.
