I believe the resulting file isn't always perfect in terms of
placement of text, bullets, images, and the animation and zoom zoom
(if you're into that sort of thing in presentations). HTML and Flash
are probably the best solution for this cross platform issue. Or
bringing an installer of OOo and install it on whoever's PC is being
used for the presentation, as has been said somewhere above.
