you can use the command "smbclient -U pcguest%pcguest -L <win2k-ip>" to browse the win2k shares.
With regards to your printing question, what are you using CUPS?

i have setup a username/password on windows2000 (pcguest/pcguest).  How do
i tell samba to use it? or LinuxNeighborhood?
