Yes, I should have joined the Mozilla Thunderbird list a long time ago
and post this question there... but I know that *pinoys* here rock!
hehehe.. o cya tama na ang pagsipsep..

I have installed XandrOS (dual-boot with XP for the meantime... and
then... *laugh*) on one of our PC's here (to be used by one of our
profs). I wanted him to stay away from M$.. so I *sold* Linux to
him. In a separate partition I put in XandrOS.. then I installed
firefox and thunderbird for his internet access and email,
respectively.. my next task was to move over the files and settings
from M$ XP to Linux.

Emails first. He was using Outlook Express as his MUA. The problem
with the OE is that it cannot export mails (address book is no
problem) into anything. grrr... I was hoping that I can export his
email messages in OE as plaintext.. but Micro$oft didn't fail to
disappoint me..

So I rebooted to XP and installed Thunderbird 1 and imported
everything from OE. I was thinking of exporting his emails (imported
from OE) from Thunderbird; since he will be using the Thunderbird in
XandrOS. Guess what? yes, there's no Export function either. So I
explored the Thunderbird Directory to look for the *emails* in
plaintext so that I can just copy it over to Linux. well, tough luck..
i didn't find any..

Any workarounds from the generals of the field?
