Hi Ricardo,
im having problems with printing from Linux workstations to a shared printer on Windows2000.
What printing program are you using? cups? apsfilter?
Samba is working. I can browse shared resources on Win2K using LinNeighborhood. I added HP2300 from the Printing menu and it said it has sent a print test page to the printer but nothing came out of the printer. Other Windows machine can print on the Win2K shared printer.
If you are using cups, what method did you used to configure your printer? KDE's kprinter wizard? cups web based admin tool? (http://localhost:631)
What could i be missing?
For starters, you can check the following:
1. If you are using cups, make sure cupsd is running
2. Make sure cups can print via samba. check if smbspool has a symlink to cups backend directory.
3. Make sure to specify a win2k user account when configuring the printer in the web admin tool.
eg: smb://win2k-user:[EMAIL PROTECTED]
hth, Kenneth
