Lightbulb moment...

I've got a possible client who's interested. I've brought up the idea of using Smoothwall, but they seem inclined towards a turnkey solution that's easy to administer. So they're looking at one of those rack-mounted thingies.
If you can manage to create your own firewall (one that has DMZ interfaces) appliance using the rackmountable 1U/2U form factor casings (available off the net, no local suppliers I know of as of the moment) with more bells and whistles than the currently available firewalls by using either a BSD or Linux kernel running on a apt hardware, you might just end up with a marketable firewall appliance at around ~500k Php.
I remember seeing the Anino Bridge/Firewall during Manilacon 2003 -- which is a very good idea indeed.
Let us know if you manage to pull this off. ;)
