Huh? How many can you count? Seriously, it's not a knee-jerk reaction. More like an elbow-jerk. Like what everybody else said earlier, it is Standard Operating Procedure as taken from the `Universal Instruction Manual of the Association of Software Entrepreneurs and Pirates', published sometime before I was born. If that's your take of the people here in PLUG, then why are you still in this list, given that (a) you too have a remarkable (to say the least) history in the list, and that (b) you seem to have such a $FAVORITE_MOVEABLE_BODY_PART-jerk-and-full-stop reaction on many controversial topics on this list? If all you really want to say is `I HATE YOU ALL DAMN FSCKER FOSS USERS WHO BASH M$ AND CRAP!' then say it! I would speculate that many will be pleased. --END-PUN-AHEAD-MESSAGE-- You could have just simply said `Zak, not all the time M$ sucks, come look at the bright side, we have the commoditization of computing to thank them for' and I would have really appreciated that, because I try to appreciate everything in life (even if it seems to be crappy, or full of crap, like M$), and I try not to be rude. But NO, you just prune and graft a new thread simply stating your disgust at people (and implicitly, at yourself too) in a public mailing list. For me, that's a waste of inodes, filename pointers, IDE-bridge and CPU and network bandwidth, and not to mention space. I still remember your procmail recipe for filtering my address to /dev/null. Please don't force me to be rude and to use it on you. -- ZAK B.
