The main problem with EVMS is that it has thus far received scant
support among distro developers. Being as it is at the level of a
filesystem, nay, even lower than that, it's not the sort of thing that
someone can slap on after one has installed the system. I remember what
it was like trying to use ReiserFS four years ago: this is the same. The
only distro I know of that allows you to use it relatively easily is
Gentoo, for obvious reasons, but the process is not very well documented
(not as well documented as the LVM process, certainly).
