i was reading the link about acrobat reader 7 having javascript and
the javascript
being used to phone home and what's being done with the PDF.  

one of the comments in the talkbalk said:

iptables -A OUTPUT -m owner --cmd-owner acroread -j DROP

and magically all network traffic from acroread will just get blocked.
 tested it
with evolution. works great :).

oh yeah, that new sig quote down there, i saw that in that thread too :).
