Hello Pluggers,

I have a client that uses a legacy application to communicate via the
telnet protocol to a remote server. The "problem" is, the organization
that owns the remote server had it upgraded, and thus the remote server
now supports only SSH.

I for one do would avoid touching telnet anymore even with a ten foot
pole. However, in case anyone is wondering...this certain legacy
application is binded too much with the telnet protocol such that they
are looking for a quick fix while exploring the feasibility of porting
the application to support SSH.

I'd like to know if there is there some way (like a bridged proxy)
wherein the clients application can connnect to the proxy and would in
turn connect to the remote server via SSH. Think of a realtime telnet to
SSH protocol translation. Any insights/opinions on this would be highly
appreciated.:)

BTW, tunneling is not an option for the client since the remote server
disabled the telnet daemon.
