Hello,

My apologies in advance for my frequent posting on this, however I'd like to post some interesting details I just found out about the legacy application in question.

The legacy application used by the client is basically a Kermit client. While there are existing Kermit clients that run on top of telnet or SSH, this DOS application uses telnet. I hope this clarifies the situation a bit.:)

The source code of the kermit telnet application contains a lot of assembly code (which is beyond my core competencies lol) and does not seem as easily adaptable as my partners and I would have hoped for recoding as originally planned and requested by the client. I guess it's more feasible to implement a bridge-proxy or similar to the ones suggested by this list as a more permanent solution.

Cheers,

-Paul
