Hi, I'm on a S3 Savage4, and AFAICT your card and mine both use the same DRI and X11 driver (savage). I have DRI working pretty well on mine (I am using CVS snapshots from dri.freedesktop.org). What seems to be the problem on your setup? FWIW, I had to recompile my kernel-- you need a copy of your kernel source tree to compile the DRM portion of the stuff in the DRI CVS snapshots. I'm also using the X.org driver, so that simplifies things a bit -- the CVS build snapshots have the X11 DRI driver for X.org AFAICT. -- JM Ibanez -- A good world needs knowledge, kindliness, and courage; it does not need a regretful hankering after the past or a fettering of the free intelligence by the words uttered long ago by ignorant men. -- Bertrand Russell ----- http://www.livejournal.com/~jmibanez/ http://www.mycgiserver.com/~butiki/ -- Philippine Linux Users' Group (PLUG) Mailing List [email protected] (#PLUG @ irc.free.net.ph) Official Website: http://plug.linux.org.ph Searchable Archives: http://marc.free.net.ph .
