Hi,

I'm on a S3 Savage4, and AFAICT your card and mine both use the same
DRI and X11 driver (savage). I have DRI working pretty well on mine (I
am using CVS snapshots from dri.freedesktop.org). What seems to be the
problem on your setup?

FWIW, I had to recompile my kernel-- you need a copy of your kernel
source tree to compile the DRM portion of the stuff in the DRI CVS
snapshots. I'm also using the X.org driver, so that simplifies things
a bit -- the CVS build snapshots have the X11 DRI driver for X.org
AFAICT.
