Looks like I did an update on one of my systems, I noticed it was acting
strange this morning, I did a reboot after checking everything, as I found
nothing (that I thought) out of order.

On reboot it would not longer load the system it gave a kernel panic and
halted.

So I restarted it and got grub to give me a list of images, the one it was
trying to boot is 4.8.0-58-Lowlatency, the previous kernel was 4.4.0.101-
generic
I looked at all of the rest of my machines did updates they are all runnig
at 4.4.0.101-generic.

Does anyone have an idea of why I would have that kernel in there and
how it got there?

I have never had to remove offending images and tell it to look at an
earlier
image, I believe that all I do is remove the bad ones and recompile grub
correct?
