The .com domain is still being hosted by linode and the host still has an smtp server running. I'm guessing that's where the mail is coming from (45.33.84.65), but you would need to check the email headers from an email you've received from the list to confirm.
Daniel, Looking at github.com I discovered that the .com name is active, but it used to be under the .org name. I used the URL in the monthly subscription message to try to unsubscribe and it pointed to the .org TLD.
If that's where the email is originating, I believe you host your own mail server, so you can add that "45.33.84.65 ledger123.org" to your mail server's /etc/hosts file and try to send an email.
There's been no mail on the list for several years and I stopped using the application long ago. Rather than wasting time on this (yours, John's, mine, etc.) I just added that domain name to /etc/postfix/badaddr and future monthly reminders will be rejected. I did sent Armaghan a message at his gmail address but when he switched TLDs he didn't notify me; perhaps not any other list subscriber, either.
