Industry-standard, like "Windows standard?" If there is an official standard, where do I find the document? SID, NTSC, IEEE, ANSI, ISO, IEC? Or JSA/JIS? I've helped design displays, and I can ask the people I worked with, but my guess is that the "standard" is marketing jargon, with the Japanese using one set of jargon (translated from Japanese) and US companies (like InFocus) using other jargon. Color is cultural; indeed, the Japanese label different color bands differently.
