I was sent a URL to download a file and passed the URL to wget, which thought about the task before giving up and telling me the network (in South America) was not reachable so it could not connect.
Pasting the URL in firefox immediately initiated downloading the file. As a non-expert in wget I'm curious why it might fail while the browser succeeds.
