Seriously, if you aren't using wifi at your gateway, a Ubiquiti ER-X isn't
a bad choice. About $50. It supports OpenWrt if you want your own firmware.
I'm told the stock firmware is decent, but I've never used it. It can NAT
and route at close to a gigabit.
