I've never gotten pepperflash from SBo working on any browser. Added to
"life's to short" category.
I learned what I had done wrong re: pepperflash and firefox. From
Slackbuilds.org you need BOTH
freshplayerplugin
pepperflash-plugin
It's a more complex install, so unless you need specific features the
regular flashplayer-plugin will work fine.
(remember to restart firefox after installation!)
I reinstalled flashplayer-plugin and restarted Firefox. The next problem
was verifying that it works. The only way I knew it didn't work was when
a page showed up that told me I needed Flash. I didn't keep track of
that page. But, I went looking for a sample to try and found:
http://www.dhs.state.il.us/accessibility/tests/flash/video.html
Oddly, while it works on the Slackware laptop, it doesn't work on my
Ubuntu 18 desktop. Why it's odd is that I've never had a problem viewing
BBC news items in Firefox in Ubuntu 18. Weird. But it shouldn't happen
again on the laptop.
Check off another resolved issue.
Thanks.
