I need to scan a form with my Canon CanoScanLDE 400 and while xsane finds the device (so does lssub: Bus 001 Device 082: ID 04a9:1912 Canon, Inc.) when I try to acquire a preview image xsane tells me "Error during read. Error during device I/O."
I've reconnected the cable on both ends and made sure the scanner is unlocked. I've no idea what to do next. Please suggest actions that will return the xsane connection to the scanner.
