You can move the luci management to a different port and install a
webserver of some kind that can act as a reverse proxy. To not have
problems with updating after installing additional things just compile
the image yourself with the sdk containing the features you need. Or
just ssh in after upgrade to a official release and reinstall the
packages via opkg.
