I want to assign to Ctrl-d the action of deleting the character immediately to the right of the cursor's position (the 'point' in Emacs-speak). The dialog box for assigning actions to key chords has a fixed list of choices, none of which is 'delete one character' (or it's there but called something else that I don't recognize as deleting a single character.)
