this is often called a "cheat sheet" so if you search using that term you

I used linux command linux cheat sheet wiki to find this and many like it:

https://wiki.bits.vib.be/index.php/Linux_Beginner%27s_Shell_Cheat_page

An excellent resource. IIRC, Richard is a "seasoned
citizen" like me - we have lost some connecting neurons,
and that cheat sheet (and others found by googling for
"linux cheat sheet" as Wes suggests) helps us reconnect
with what we used to know.

I date back to the use of vacuum tubes in CPUs ;/
I hadn't thought of using "cheat sheet" as a search term.
The page Wes pointed to focuses on "task to be accomplished".
The page I recalled is focused on "specific commands", i.e. be c complement to a man page lacking sufficient examples. A response on alt.comp.os.linux pointed me to https://cht.sh/ which aims at what I'm looking for.

Later I will, as suggested, include "linux cheat sheet" in my search.
