Then Frontier sold to Ziply, which had bad reviews in some places, perhaps
not here.
When I get a Round Tuit,

They're back in stock at Amazon.
I, too, went from Verizon -> Frontier -> ZiplyFiber. I have absolutely no
complaints about Ziply -- other than the stupid name (with which,
apparently, some of their techs agree).
Late last autumn I called Ziply's customer support and asked what they could
do to lower my bill. Long story short, a tech came out, replaced the fiber
box outside with their newest model (handles up to 1 Gigabit), added fiber
to the house with another box sititng blinking under my computer desk,
installed their latest model modem (set strictly for the landline phone) to
convert it from TDM (Time Domain Multiplexing) to VoIP, and my monthly bill
lowered by ~$30 (no more taxes on the landline) while my 'Net access
increased from 5 down/50 up to 100/100, based on the tech's recommendation
as that's the sweet spot for my needs.
I've had great service from their technical support folks when I've called
(and the $26 call center headset pays for itself each time I'm on hold with
a company). They just have to figure out whether my issue is with
residential or business service (almost always the latter) and which
specific tech area is involved.
