Yes, you only need one CD. I usually find the smallest netinst with a 2.4
kernel (this was about 2 years ago), and use that. Try it here:

  http://www.debian.org/CD/netinst/

This one (unofficial) is only 186MB:

  http://ftp.fi.debian.org/debian-minicd/woody-i386-1.iso
