http://nomachine.com The clients are Free/open source and there are Free servers for Linux that are easy to install and use (http://fedoranews.org/contributors/rick_stout/freenx/ http://freenx.berlios.de/). Might have to buy a server for Windows, but I don't know. It's blazing fast. VNC works well if speed isn't a big concern.
