Something has changed in our DNS services that is blocking nfs mounts.

From the client I get:

mount: amparotech:/data3/qcdm failed, reason given by server: Permission denied

In the log file of the server I get:

<date/time> orasrv rpc.mountd: refused mount request from 192.168.1.5 (luke.168.192.in-addr.arpa) for /data3/qcdm (/data3/qcdm): no DNS forward lookup

note 1: amparotech is the DNS entry for the orasrv box
note 2: I'm getting the same error between boxes who's DNS name matches the hostname of the server as well

If I ping amparotech from luke I get:

# ping amparotech
PING amparotech.gwic.net (192.168.1.48) 56(84) bytes of data
64 byts from amparotech.gwic.net.168.192.in-addr.arpa (192.168.1.48): icmp_seq=1 ttl=64 time=0.153 ms

which looks to me like it forward resolved correctly.

If I dig from luke I get the following:

# dig amparotech.gwic.net

;<<>> Dig 9.2.1 <<>> amparotech.gwic.net
;; global options: printcmd
;; Got answer:

To me this shows forward resolution is working.

If I dig -x 192.168.1.5, I get:

; <<>> DiG 9.2.1 <<>> -x 192.168.1.5
;; global options: printcmd

If I understand dig, this show reverse resolution working as well.

Can anyone help me resolve this issue. I'm running in the "I hope I don't have to reboot" mode, otherwise I will loose all of my nfs shares between all computers in my server farm.
