Java's dominance isn't my opinion, it just is.
Your arguments are sensible, but there's one thing I don't understand:
why is it important to you to defend Java? You're obviously a capable
coder and designer, and you'd be proficient in plenty other languages.
Your future hardly depends on Java. So again, why is Java so important
to you?
I like a good debate as much as anyone. But I just want to make sure we
don't attack anyone personally. I love to argue about points, and
sometimes I do inadvertently attack someone personally, and for that I
apologize Bryan.
Did you interpret my question as an attack? It was intended as an
unloaded, unbiased question, even given with a sincere compliment. It
is difficult to phrase it in a non-personal way, but I believe the
question is important, and I certainly won't attack Bryan no matter how
he answers.
