Replying (really) to my own post, a fedora live dvd might not be useful
for video testing.  For legal reasons all the interesting codecs are NOT
in the base distro, but places like freshrpms.net.

So it's not likely a fedora live dvd would play much besides oggs vorbis
or theora files.
