I have 2 servers in my office that are behaving a bit oddly.
Jake is a plucky backup server that has the following setup:
Intel Core2 Duo @ 2.66Ghz
4 GB Ram
Elwood is our main web/mail server, with the following config:
Dual Core Opteron 2.4Ghz
4 GB Ram
The odd behavior is that it takes between 4-6 seconds to log into jake
over ssh, and under a second to log into elwood.
Both are using shared keys for the login, and both are on my local
gigabit subnet.
Where should I be looking to find causes for delays in ssh login?
