Looks like you're paying for space to work on these projects.  I guess 
that's important to some folk beyond the gettogethers? I don't know, as 
it's not my scene.  Probably cheap for how much space they have to cover 
as a group.  Warehouse space can range from $8-15/sq foot around Provo 
(when I was looking last in November).  *shrug*  You also get a lot of 
electronic geek friends =cP
