Brad came armed last night with a great (and very interesting) presentation. Because I got the announcement out so late, not many were able to attend. I've asked Brad to come back in September and present so that everyone is able to schedule well in advance.
I've heard from more than a dozen people that Wednesday night does not work well for them. PLUG has been meeting the second Wednesday of the month for years, and so I'm not to sure changing it is a good idea. However, I think it is worthy of a vote. PLEASE submit a vote to the poll here: http://www.plug.org/node/156 IF YOU LIKE WEDNESDAY AND DO NOT VOTE FOR IT, IT MAY BE CHANGED! PLEASE VOTE! I will send out a reminder for the September meeting a little closer to the event, but here are the details... ---------- Date: September 8th, 2010 Time: 7:30 PM Location: Adobe, Omniture Business Unit WebGL is an emerging standard that (finally) brings native 3D to web browsers on devices large and small. Javascript libraries like GLGE, SpiderGL, and ProcessingJS help plug you in for using it. Grab a nightly build of your favorite browser to see it in action... see http://www.khronos.org/webgl/wiki/Getting_a_WebGL_Implementation About the Presenter: Brad Midgley thought it would be a good idea to earn two degrees in computer science, from the University of Utah and University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. He can mostly be found tinkering these days with ruby on rails, mobile programming, and embedded computers. See you there! /* PLUG: http://plug.org, #utah on irc.freenode.net Unsubscribe: http://plug.org/mailman/options/plug Don't fear the penguin. */
