Here is a general blurb on the position requirements.as I mentioned, I have
two openings with clients in Salt Lake.
Location: Salt Lake City
Term: FTE/perm
Salary: DOE ($65-90K)
Basic Requirements:
Our client is looking for a seasoned Linux Engineer. Ideal candidate will
have extensive experience build, support and configuring highly available
Linux servers. Ideal candidate must have experience with all common internet
technologies; Web, DNS, Email, Relational Databases, etc. Scripting
experience using Bash, Perl, and Ruby is preferred.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Java web
applications, Apache, Tomcat, Postfix, MySQL, Oracle, LAMP Stack.
Requirements:
5-8 Years experience supporting Linux servers
3 Years scripting experience
3 Years experience supporting high available web servers and
infrastructure
3-5 Years experience working with Apache, and Tomcat
7+ years general IT work experience.
BA Computer Science or equivalent work experience
Skills
. Excellent written and oral communication
* In depth understanding of the following technologies: Linux, Java,
Apache
* High-level understanding of Oracle, MySQL and SAN Storage systems
management concepts
* Experience using and/or managing alerting systems like Nagios,
Sitescope, etc.
