Tod: Keep the parts around, but out of the way if possible.
Every time my wife cleans up and hauls old pc's and parts to the storage shed, I invariably need parts in that latest shipment. If nothing else warehousing the parts close to you, insures that your systems won't break down or require scavenged spare parts. I share this tongue-in-cheek sort of, but there seems to be some element of truth , at least in my humble experience.
