I don't trust the three external USB hard drives I have now and use for backups, so I am looking at replacing them. I need:
1 terabyte (or larger) USB 2 or 3 No external power supply; must be powered from the USB bus. 2.5" is nice but not required. I am replacing "ID 0bc2:5021 Seagate RSS LLC FreeAgent GoFlex USB 2.0". One is the virtual tape repository for Amanda and some other data. The other two rotate between home and an external offsite storage location. Any recommendations?
