I was able to do an advanced search on Amazon by year and discover what I think are the books that I bought (just recording this for history's sake).
I'm pretty sure one of them was Running Linux 5th Edition by O'Reilly (unfortunately there is modern edition). https://www.amazon.com/Running-Linux-Matthias-Kalle-Dalheimer/dp/B00CVDY3CA/ Something about that seeing that picture just filled me with a warm emotion - this must have been the one I loved reading so much. And I distinctly remember a lighthouse and I bought it either late 2004 or early 2005 so the other would have been one of these by Sybex: https://www.amazon.com/Linux-Study-Guide-3rd-XKO-002/dp/078214389X/ https://www.amazon.com/Linux-Study-Guide-Exaam-XK0-001/dp/0782143121/ AJ ONeal /* PLUG: http://plug.org, #utah on irc.freenode.net Unsubscribe: http://plug.org/mailman/options/plug Don't fear the penguin. */
