Yes, I've been having that exact same problem. I ended up installing an extension, Disable Autoplay, but I can't say I'm exactly satisfied with it since I need 4 or 5 clicks to get it playing. I hadn't ever tried media.autoplay.enabled.user-gestures-needed, so I'll give that a shot and see.
