I was in the process of setting up Procmail to sort my mail on the server itself rather than just having the mail client do it. However, as I was searching for a way to activate procmail from my MTA _IF_ they have a .procmailrc file in their home directory, I came across an email reputed to be from Procmail's author, who said the project is dead and it should not be used because numerous bugs have been found that are not corrected. Further reading showed that people were replacing procmail with fdm, so I grabbed fdm to take a look at it. But from what I can see, fdm ONLY operates at the system-wide level. I can't find any per-user configs.
Is there a way to use fdm on a per-user basis, where each user has their own config file for fdm with their own rules? If not, what's a good replacement for procmail?
