Could you try enabling rtsp->flc or dissabling wav->flc in server
settings - file types.
What it happening at present it a pipe line is being create with the
server transfering the data twice:
Stream -> mplayer -> server -> flac -> server -> player
If you enable rtsp->flc then you should get:
Stream -> mplayer -> flac -> server -> player
Great! Seems to work a treat. Although cant tell if softsqueeze is
producing sound as I am connecting to the computer via VNC. However it
is saying it is connected and the time playing is going up whcih usually
only happens when it is all working.
In the command line the following error is repeatadly produced whilst
playing the stream. Any ideas

If you dissable wav->flac you should get:
Stream -> mplayer -> server -> player
Didnt try this as this didnt seem the logical way to go.
I will try this with alienbbc 0.98 once I have my squeezebox in front of me!
