OK, here's a way to test mplayer from the command line. I think you said that mplayer is in /usr/local/bin
So go to the terminal and type /usr/local/bin/mplayer -playlist http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio/aod/shows/rpms/radio2/paul_jones.rpm and press return,of course (all one line regardless of how the forum displays it). That should get the Paul Jones blues show playing. It will take some time to play and there will be various messages on screen before it starts playing. If it doesn't play, then select and copy the output that appears on the screen and paste it into a message here, and that will provide more diagnosis. If it does work, then we can look further. I'm still wondering about the 'wav' that appears at several places in the log you posted. I thought it should be 'aiff' for Mac, and maybe this is a cause of the problem. But I don't know enough about that aspect. By the way, you might be able to get away with typing just 'mplayer' rather than '/usr/local/bin/mplayer' but I am not sure. You will be able to get AlienBBC working in the end, and it is a really valuable addition to SlimServer. -- danco _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
