Can't comment on the pipe problem. But the two other messages: To use rtsp->mp3 you need lame.exe installed in the same directory as other binaries (flac.exe etc) - I think this is C:\Program File\SlimServer\server\Bin\MSWin32-x86-multi-thread
The "SW: Transfer stalled" means that socketwrapper is not getting any data from mplayer. Try editing the slimserver-convert.conf file to remove the "-really-quiet" bit as this should mean mplayer gives more error messages.
