Now that I look at it, there's another problem that you might address at the same time. If you click the softsqueezeHeadless shortcut it always runs an(other) instance of the process. How about instead of blindly running softsqueezeHeadless, check to see if the process is already running. If softsqueezeHeadless is currently running, display a dialog box "Softsqueeze is already running" and give them a button to stop the process (plus a 'Cancel' button).
