Oh dear. Do any other MM users experience this problem? I don't have MM so can't reproduce that here.
The plugin never adds new entries to the database (it just adds a little extra information to a column in existing entries), so I doubt it could have caused the number of artists reported by SlimServer to go up (I'm assuming you mean the artist counts reported in the SlimServer web interface). If the search returns no results it looks like the plugin hasn't added it's data to the database. Are you sure you've tried searching some time after the normal SlimServer rescan has finished? Also, when you enter the lazy search on the player, is it warning that a scan is still in progress? Would it be possible for you to send me a copy of your music database? Either the SQLite database file, or a dump of your MySQL SlimServer database if you're using MySQL? I don't know how big that might be, so it might not be practical. In the meantime I'll take a look at how MusicMagic works to see if I can see what it does with the database, but a peek at your database would be the best bet on tracking it down. Finally, which version of SlimServer are you using? There's quite a bit of churn in the 6.5 beta at the moment and so it *might* be a problem with that instead if that's the one you're using.
