I like this, and not just for the FTP thing. By having a plugin that drops the now playing in a text file, you can use it for things like blogging software that read the "now playing" from a file for when you post (I use Semagic on LiveJournal for instance and it supports this.)
I'm having trouble getting it running though. I've put the file in my Plugins directory and restarted SlimServer but nothing seems to be happening and there's no debugging info.
