Please let me > know what you think. MrC- Thanks for the post. Your first point is similar to Xhorder's (see above). I'll look into it. It's just right now when you hit left/right it basically does the same thing as when the timer triggers it to go left/right. However, if the display setting is 0, then it wont show it. If there is nothing to display when you hit left/right, then it bounces to indicate that.
I like the direction of your new version. I've seen format strings in SlimServer/other plug-ins and had thought they'd be useful. However, I didn't realize they'd be so easy to implement using regular expressions. I'm going to do some copy/paste/etc of your code into my current version (not sure what other changes I had made locally). I think I'm also going to need to bring back the centigrade/farenheight temperature option. It's needed for temperature conversions in the long weather forecasts.
