>Any advance on this... > Sorry, I've had a busy period at work, amongst other things. I have made a start, and have been using the basic part of the plugin on my server. So far the plugin allows the user to select a track from the Now Playing list and either add it to "Bad Tags" or "Bad Music". I've also integrated the Save Playlist plugin into my plugin, so I could free up the Play.hold button to invoke another plugin.
This is what I wanted the plugin to do for my own personal needs - I wanted to add some more features so it is a bit more generic for other people to benefit more from it. It's not using localised language strings properly, etc. I'll try to tidy it up a bit and put up an initial release soon (within the next week). Here's what I have planned: Initial Release functionality: - Press and hold Add button from a track in the Now Playling list to invoke the plugin. - plugin will provide an "Add to..." option. User then selects the playlist to add the track to, hard coded options for "Bad Music" or "Bad Tags". - plugin will provide an option to "Zap Track". This will invoke the in-build zap facility, which add.hold overrides. - plugin will provide an option to save the now playing playlist. Not-so distant future functionality: - Configuration section in slimserver plugin settings page to allow user to select the names of playlists that will be listed in the plugin. - plugin will allow a track to be added to any of the configured playlists. In addition, provide an "Select Playlist..." option to select from the list of all playlists. - plugin will have options to invoke the artist biography or album review plugins (if installed and active) for the currently selected track. - navigating to the plugin through the plugins menu would list all configured playlists, as a quick access machanism. This could be bound to a key, such as Play.hold. After that, other ideas include: - allow the plugin to be invoked for tracks when browsing in any list in the player (ie browse artists, albums, search results, etc). - allow the plugin to be invoked on groups of tracks, such as when selecting an album or artist. Options would then read eg. "add all tracks by artist to...", "add album to...". - options to add the tracks to other places in the destination playlist other than onto the end? - option to add to favourites? If anyone has other ideas, then please let me know - I'm open to suggestions!
