I would suggest a clean install of slimserver and the Alien plugin if you are having problems. [assuming you don't mind resetting your settings - otherwise make a copy of the slimserver.pref file in c:\Program Files\SlimServer\server.
Delete everything in c:\Program Files\SlimServer and then reinstall. Stop the server and copy the pref file back to replace the new one which has been created. Then restart the server.
