A very smal suggestion.   I downloaded the vmware player at
http://www.vmware.com/products/player/ and have found it a very nice
way of running ubuntu under windows.   If the SlimCD DSL image could be
made into a virtual appliance, then one might be able to run slimserver,
with alienbbc and plug ins all set up as a virtual machine under
windows. 
This might have the advantage of allowing people to easily benefit from
the 'live' cd with plugins enabled, in a linux environment.

Thanks much for the slimCD project....I have it running on a machine as
a server within an hour hosting my slim stuff in a tempoary posting...
