Internet connection is a lowly phone line. Perhaps my internet speed is not up to snuff and times out. Any other suggestions?
I'm afraid I'm somewhat lost :-(. Internet speed might be a problem, though I don't understand why you don't even get a file in the cache folder. Any chance to get a bandwith upgrade soon ;-)?
