The musicmagic_mixable info appears to be working for me with 6.3. The albums are processed separately from tracks, so it IS possible to have an album that is mixable, when the tracks below are not (don't ask me why, is this appears to be a musicIP thing). If the song registers as "active" then musicmagic_mixable is set. If the album registers as "active" then the album is marked as mixable.
using d_info debugging then rescanning will show the song import in the logs. d_musicmagic will show the progress of the musicIP import, and perhaps indicate what might be stopping you from seeing mixable state on tracks.
