I'm not sure yet... I assumed the change that had been made was because of the new background scanner in 6.5 and hence not applicable for 6.3, but ran out of time to test this morning. I will check this out tonight.
You can see what's going on by enabling --d_scan --d_directstream and --d_http_async then connecting with the plugin.
